Each year, as part of our ongoing commitment to good causes, we design the identity for the Macmillan Annual Charity Ball. Based on a different theme each year, we enjoy creating a flexible, inspiring creative to drive ticket sales and push the Charity Ball into the spotlight.
The brief this year – create a carnival theme to be used for a ticket, auction book and venue posters.
We gave the theme a retro circus twist with big tops, big cats and big strong men. With the usual Rio Carnival route in mind, we retained the colourful Rio look and the textures and foliage associated with it. The result was an eye catching, colourful and unusual identity carefully crossing two distinct styles into one.
